Description
About the Role Aspire Fiber is expanding fiber optic infrastructure across Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, and surrounding Southern California markets. As construction activity scales up, we need a Community Relations Assistant to manage day-to-day resident communication and complaint resolution — handling the volume of property damage claims, restoration follow-ups, and city liaison coordination that comes with large-scale construction. This is a full-time, in-office role based at our Moorpark office, working closely with our Sales & Community Relations Manager and taking ownership of resident-facing casework so the Manager can stay focused on sales and partnership growth.
What You'll Do
- Field and triage resident complaints related to construction activity — lawn/landscaping damage, vehicle damage (e.g., concrete splatter), pavement or hardscape issues, and general installation questions — primarily via phone and email, working from our Moorpark office.
- Draft and send response communications to affected residents: acknowledgment of complaints, apologies, and status updates, matching Aspire's tone (direct, empathetic, solutions-oriented).
- Coordinate restoration and repair logistics: schedule sod/landscaping replacement, vehicle cleaning services, and cleanup crews; track jobs through to resident sign-off.
- Manage reimbursement requests (e.g., car wash receipts) and route them for processing.
- Maintain a complaint/case tracking log — status, resident contact info, resolution steps, and follow-up dates — so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Liaise with city contacts (e.g., Santa Clarita city staff) on resident escalations, providing timely updates on how issues are being resolved.
- Escalate recurring or high-severity issues (property damage patterns, safety concerns) to construction management and the Community Relations Manager.
- Support proactive community outreach: apology letters, gift cards, door hangers, and pre-construction notifications for upcoming work zones.
- Answer general resident inquiries about the fiber installation process, timelines, and what to expect during construction.
What You Bring
- 1+ years in customer service, community relations, property management, or a similar resident/customer-facing role (construction or utilities industry experience a plus, not required).
- Excellent written communication — able to draft clear, professional, empathetic emails on a tight turnaround.
- Strong organizational skills; comfortable juggling multiple open cases at different stages.
- Calm, patient phone and in-person manner — some residents you'll talk to will be frustrated, and de-escalation is part of the job.
- Basic proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools; ability to learn internal tracking/dashboard systems.
- Reliable transportation; occasional local site visits may be required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with construction, telecom, or fiber/utility restoration standards (pavement, landscaping, etc.).
- Experience working with municipal or HOA contacts.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability and Voluntary Buy Up of Life Insurance
- Paid time off
- Parental Leave
- Team Building events
- 50% employee discount on Aspire Fiber services
- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a fast-growing telecommunications company.
- A dynamic and innovative work environment that fosters collaboration and growth.
