Current position is for 1st shift but is subject to seniority based bumping procedures.
Job Purpose:
Supports Manufacturing and Inventory Control by providing all actions necessary to fulfill the production/inventory control needs in the manufacturing of Company's products/service.
Essential Job DUTIES:
- Provides manufacturing support by maintaining the work-in-process (WIP) warehouse to meet production needs; picking work orders, pulling requisitions, processing move tickets, and communicating all parts shortages by notifying Warehouse Supervisor in accordance with established procedures.
- Assists in inventory control by conducting physical counts and reconciling differences with inventory ontrol personnel; retrieving unused or excess components and supplies, placing them back into warehouse storage.
- Rotating stock so that it meets the first in first out requirement.
- Loads and unloads product by using hand trucks, forklifts, or by whatever means are necessary, and marking material in accordance with established procedures.
- Deliver inbound product to the appropriate department or designated person.
- Maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment by filling out standard daily operational checklists on warehouse vehicles prior to use; following manufactures standards of use; reporting damage or mechanical problems to supervisor and/or maintenance.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety and company procedures, rules and regulations to protect themselves and others from known and expected hazards.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES:
· Lifting, twisting, reaching, climbing, carrying, and bending
· Ability to frequently climb on and off a forklift
· Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
· Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
· Ability to safely stand for 95% of the working shift
· Required to have, or the ability to obtain, a fork truck (gas and electric) license
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, and converse in English
- Communicates well by having legible handwriting
- Good verbal communications skills
- Good attention to detail
Occasional Duties:
Serves in other job capacities, where qualified, on a short term basis.
