Description

The Business Manager in Flying HIGH Inc.’s integrated workforce development services will act as the primary liaison between Flying HIGH Inc., and the business community. This role focuses on creating and making the community aware of Flying HIGH, Inc’s services as well as building strategic partnerships to create customized employment pathways that include targeted recruitment and specialized training for external business partners and successful job placement for individuals completing our programs. 


Primary responsibilities include:


Proactively outreaching employers to build long-term, trusting partnerships by understanding their workforce needs/wants.


Provide workforce solutions that align with employer hiring needs/wants by developing customized employment pathways which include innovative recruitment strategies and specialized training opportunities that result in successful job placement of candidates.


Manage the full hiring cycle for partner accounts, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates to ensure they meet specific employer criteria.


Plan and execute innovative recruitment events, such as hiring parties, mini-job fairs, employer spot light events, information sessions, and other creative activities/events, tailored to specific business accounts by effectively utilizing all resources available through Flying HIGH Inc.’s integrated workforce services.  

Resources include but are not limited to: 

o Welcome Centers locations in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana Counties for candidate recruitment events/activities

o Professional Development Center Technical School to provide candidates with specialized skills training and GED assistance

o Career counseling to help candidates find the right career for them

o Case Management assistance to help candidates overcome employment barriers

o SUD/MH Outpatient services to help candidates overcome addiction

o Work acclimation activities to help clients acclimate to the work environment

o Purpose Account savings to help candidates pay court costs to achieve driver license and purchase transportation.

o Job Developers to help candidates be placed in the right career.


Recommend suitable workforce products or services offered by the Professional Development Center that enhance client satisfaction and meet placement targets.


Proactively outreach to community members and referral sources to continuously educate others on employment opportunities provided by FlyingHigh Inc’s integrated workforce services.  


Use Apricot to document interactions with employers and job candidates and track placement outcomes.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field or five years progressive work related experience with workforce development
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, reliable transportation and clean driving record
  • Effective communication, documentation and organizational skills
  • Knowledge or experience within social service/behavioral health/vocational environment
  • Ability to utilize various Microsoft Office software products such as Word, Excel and Outlook as well as electronic record systems.
  • Able to pass post-offer drug screen
