The Hana Summer Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience while contributing to projects that support the Company's strategic initiatives. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of special projects that may span Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Contracts, Information Technology, Business Development, Communications, or other business functions.


This position is designed to provide practical business experience, professional development, and exposure to the day-to-day operations of a federal government contractor while fostering Hana's commitment to leadership, innovation, and community.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Responsibilities may vary based on departmental assignment but may include:

  • Assist with special projects, research, and business initiatives.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support business decisions.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other project documentation.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, regulatory requirements, or operational improvements.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying efficiencies and recommending solutions.
  • Participate in meetings, take notes, and assist with follow-up action items.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on assigned projects.
  • Assist with organizing files, records, and project documentation.
  • Support event planning, employee engagement activities, or community outreach initiatives as assigned.
  • Complete assigned projects within established timelines and present findings or recommendations upon completion.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Proficiency in using common computer software, online collaboration tools, and other digital resources 
  • Active listening and skillful communication (written and verbal)
  • Able to clearly convey information 
  • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met
  • Able to collaborate effectively with others 
  • Maintaining a positive attitude, being punctual, and demonstrating appropriate workplace behavior. 
  • Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
