Description

 The Director of Nursing provides clinical leadership and oversight for He-M 1201 requirements  related to safe medication administration, including supervision of Nurse Trainers, staff and provider education,  medication record monitoring, and administration practices. This role serves as the clinical liaison to community health  providers including Greater Manchester Mental Health’s medication administration clinic. The Director of Nursing also  serves as the Area Agency Nurse for responsibilities related to The Moore Center’s contract with the Bureau of  Developmental Services.  


Essential Responsibilities:   

• Monitor individuals’ health needs using designated assessment tools.   

• Supervise, support, recruit, train, and mentor Nurse Trainers and the Clinics Coordinator.  

• Review client health, psychiatric, safety, and medication-related needs with nursing staff.  

• Ensure compliance with He-M 1201, the Nurse Practice Act, Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association  standards, state regulations, and agency policies.  

• Monitor nurse case notes and quality assurance activities.  

• Teach or oversee monthly Medication Administration classes.  

• Serve as Area Agency Nurse for responsibilities related to The Moore Center’s contract with the Bureau of  Developmental Services.  

• Collaborate with community agencies to expand awareness and access for individuals served.  

• Maintain regular in-office attendance and effective teamwork and communication.  

• Complete other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

  

Education and Experience  

• Valid New Hampshire Registered Nurse license; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing highly preferred.  

• Five years of full-time Nurse Trainer experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or equivalent  community health experience.  

• He-M 1201 Nurse Trainer Designation required within 45 days of hire; supervisory experience preferred.  

• Valid New Hampshire driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and database  systems.  

• Annual CEUs as required by regulation and licensure

• Communicate effectively with diverse individuals and motivate others through clear verbal and written  communication.  

Salary Description
$85,000 annually
