Project Maintenance Sales Associate
Description

As a well-established, growth-oriented commercial HVAC and plumbing contractor we are seeking a driven, organized, and people-first professional to join our Service team as a Project Maintenance Sales Associate. This is a ground-floor opportunity to break into commercial HVAC sales — with real mentorship, real accounts, and a real pipeline waiting for you. You'll work directly alongside our Project Maintenance Sales Representative to support a fast-moving book of business. Your job will be to ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks — following up on proposals, connecting with smaller project customers, and helping convert completed projects into long-term maintenance partnerships. We currently identify 400–600 service opportunities every year. Right now, we don't have the bandwidth to pursue all of them. That's where you come in. This role is designed to develop. You'll start by learning the business and supporting existing efforts — and as you build your HVAC knowledge and customer relationships, you'll move into managing your own accounts and closing your own maintenance agreements. We want to invest in someone who wants to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on outstanding maintenance proposals and keep the sales pipeline moving
  • Pursue smaller-project opportunities that our senior rep doesn't have bandwidth to reach
  • Assist with preparing estimates and tailoring maintenance agreement proposals
  • Support owner training sessions at project closeout
  • Coordinate account handoffs between the Project Group and Service team
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, proposals, and customer communications
  • Represent Modern Heating & Air professionally in all customer interactions
Requirements
  •  Strong organizational skills and a natural follow-through instinct
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and in front of customers
  • Some familiarity with commercial HVAC, construction, or building operations (preferred,      not required)
  • Experience in sales support, customer service, estimating, or field operations
  • A team-first mindset with the hunger to grow into a sales role
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without letting things slip

Benefits:

· Bonus/incentive structure will be discussed during the interview process

· Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

· 401(k)

· PTO and Paid Holidays

· Long-Term Disability

· Life Insurance
