VP of Finance
Description

The VP of Finance will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is a senior executive who will be responsible for overseeing and directing Texas Pride's finances, developing projections and protecting the Company from financial risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial statements and internal reporting.
  • Hire, oversee and develop the financial accounting staff.
  • Oversee the year-end audit process and ensure a timely, efficient outcome
  • Develop, implement and maintain a strong internal control environment to ensure the integrity of transactions and safeguard company assets
  • Develop and maintain processes to track, monitor and report on financial and non-financial Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Collaborate with C-Suite and senior management to support operational and strategic activities.
  • Work with the CFO on acquisitions, mergers asset purchases and joint ventures.
  • Participate in setting goals for the company and developing and modeling an operating budget.
  • Monitoring the company's performance against the operating budget and established KPIs.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly board presentations.
  • Remain up to date on relevant regulations and ensure financial reporting compliance.
  • Work with the company's tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filings.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team including controllers, accountants, and analysts.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical financial management.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial and accounting leadership or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of waste management industry economics, regulations, and operational models.
  • Deep understanding of sound accounting practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with senior management, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience managing a team of financial professionals.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
