Position Overview:
Our Warehouse Team is seeking to hire a Wire Room Associate with at least 2 years of warehouse and forklift experience to join our Rochester branch. As an essential business, our warehouse team is continuing to expand to meet the growing demands of our customers.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:
- Operate wire cutting machinery to cut and respool cable for customer orders.
- Operate coiling machines to make hand coils for electrical contractors.
- Operate forklift to move material around warehouse for various customer orders.
- Alert management when wire inventory levels are low.
- Prepare and complete wire orders for delivery or pickup per schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Remove wire from large reels, measure, cut, label/tag and put on smaller wire reels for delivery to customers.
- Label and locate material within warehouse using RF scanners.
- Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, and any material(s) contained thereon, safely and in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions and company policies.
- Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state, following all Company safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections.
- Receive incoming material in accordance with company processes, accurately identify and break down the material, note discrepancies, and make the product ready for storage.
- Store product in accordance with company processes.
- Manage wire cut email alias to meet all customer service requests, continuously communicating with the warehouse and sales teams.
- Assist warehouse staff to identify and handle inbound and outbound transactions.
- Create and maintain wire remnant log for sale and recuts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of warehouse and forklift experience required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience using wire cutting machines or similar equipment.
- Ability to set up, operate and adjust equipment according to order specifications required.
- Ability to read and understand documentation (i.e., Customer requirements, manufacturing instructions, drawings, etc.).
- Ability to cycle count and maintain wire inventory.
- Must be able to clean and maintain safe working environment.
- Must have extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials throughout the warehouse, including, but not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, and lifting materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, in the manner necessary to move materials and consistent with manufacturers’ instructions and safety instructions.
- Ability to abide by safety instruction and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or its equivalent is required.
- Must have reliable daily transportation to branch location.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This job operates in a high traffic warehouse that is exposed to outdoor weather conditions. This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. While mainly standard hours are scheduled for this position, flexibility is required to be able to ensure all orders and job duties are completed by end of shift.
