POSITION OBJECTIVE: As an Expeditor in the River Water Bar and Grille you have a unique position. Your role is to assist in providing our guests their meals through attention to detail and exceptional communication with both the Back of House and Front of House teams.

JOB SUMMARY: This position communicates with the kitchen as a liaison for the Front of House. The expeditor organizes and controls the pass window ensuring that all products are correctly plated, garnished and up to the standards set by the team. Organizes plates in order of position to facilitate efficient distribution. Keeps expo line, pass window and surrounding area clean, organized and stocked
QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills and knowledge:
- Food Handlers Permit
- Excellent guest service skills both internal and external
- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to handle a high pressure, fast paced, and stressful environment.

- Read and comprehend food order tickets

- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license.

- Six months’ restaurant experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
- Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
- Required to be able to reach with hands and arms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Garnish Plates when they are ready.
- Communicating in the kitchen by calling out orders, getting the status on dishes.
- Informing the waitstaff when certain dishes have run out.
- Communicating special request from the waitstaff to the kitchen.
- Monitoring completed dishes according to restaurant standards.
- Ensuring that all orders are completed in time, with the correct priority.
- Inspecting cleanliness, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes.
- Polish flatware in station (steak knives, soup spoons)
- Performing the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes, detailing plates, adding proper flatware.
- Keeping the prep areas clean, neat, and well stocked.
- Adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Setting up and breaking down expo line to include garnishes, condiments, gloves, towels, utensils, printer paper
- Keeps large ovals stocked and clean
- Perform other duties as assigned.
