Medical Records Supervisor

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Medical Records department.
  • Lead, coach, and support Medical Records staff.
  • Maintain the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of patient health records.
  • Oversee medical record retention, release of information, and legal record requests.
  • Conduct medical record audits and monitor documentation quality.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and billing teams to support accurate documentation and reimbursement.
  • Coordinate Hospice Face-to-Face encounter schedules and patient recertification tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, Medicare, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and improve departmental workflows.

  

Location: Bryan, Texas

Shift: Full Time, Monday through Friday

Requirements
  • Experience in medical records, health information management, or healthcare administration.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Hospice, home health, or post-acute care experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and medical record documentation.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare      environment.
