XTIVIA: Sr. Business Central Consultant

Travel: Up to 25%

How you will make a difference

The XTIVIA Sr. Business Central Consultant partners closely with clients to understand business requirements, translate those requirements into functional solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. In this client-facing consulting role, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping organizations improve operational effectiveness through thoughtful ERP solution design and delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Lead client discovery sessions to gather, analyze, define, and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of business processes and objectives.
  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Configure, customize, and implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP modules to meet client business requirements and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders across multiple departments to improve business processes and operational effectiveness.
  • Design and validate Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions that align with client business requirements.
  • Work across Business Central functional areas including Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory, Warehouse Management, Purchasing, and Sales Order Management.
  • Collaborate with technical consultants and developers to deliver successful ERP implementations and solution enhancements.
  • Develop detailed process maps to document current and future business processes.
  • Lead functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, and deployment activities.
  • Deliver end-user training, facilitate go-live activities, and provide post-implementation support to ensure successful user adoption.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.
  • Assist in project planning, timeline estimation, and coordination of project activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by recommending ERP best practices and business process improvements.
Requirements

What you bring to your new team

  • 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, or in a similar client-facing ERP consulting role.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (MB-800) certification.
  • Demonstrated success deploying Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV ERP solutions from discovery through implementation.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, customizing, and implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
  • Required experience implementing Business Central or Dynamics NAV Manufacturing and Inventory modules.
  • Experience implementing additional Business Central or Dynamics NAV modules, including Finance, Warehouse Management, Purchasing, and Sales Order Management.
  • Experience leading client discovery sessions, defining business requirements, and translating those requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and business processes through professional experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate business requirements into effective ERP solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and deliver practical business solutions.

  • Experience creating functional documentation, process maps, and solution design documentation.
  • Experience estimating implementation effort, project planning, and coordinating project activities.
  • Experience working with Government Contracting (GovCon) organizations or clients.
  • Experience collaborating with technical consultants and developers to deliver complex ERP solutions.

Salary range between $125,000-$150,000 commensurate with experience.
