Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary 

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for storing, issuing, and reconciling the inventory used by our Installation or construction field personnel. 

Qualifications 

  • Ability to meet background requirements and pass drug screen. 
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company standards. 
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and anticipate and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.  

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Day-to-day supervision & oversight of the warehouse. 
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and promote a positive company image. 
  • Organizational and motivational skills, including the ability to prioritize work. 
  • Provide clear and concise communication to various levels of the organization.  
  • Ensure LSCG Warehouses are neat and orderly. 
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. 
  • Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions. 
  • Provide assistance and or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers. 
  • Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors. 
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. 
  • Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. 
  • Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment. 
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued. 
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. 
  • Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs. 
  • Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability. 
  • Purchase new or additional stock or prepare documents that provide for such purchases. 
  • Advise retail customers or internal users on the appropriateness of parts, supplies, or materials requested. 

Working Conditions: 

  • Office and Warehouse environment – exposure to extreme heat and cold likely.  
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary. 
  • Occasional travel to work site; occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
