What You'll Do

As a Senior Liability Claims Adjuster, you will independently manage a caseload of complex liability claims from initial assignment through final resolution.


Responsibilities include:

  • Investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving complex liability claims
  • Managing both litigated and non-litigated personal and commercial lines claims
  • Handling Construction Defect claims (preferred experience)
  • Analyzing insurance policies, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage issues
  • Determining liability and evaluating damages
  • Reviewing contracts, expert reports, repair estimates, medical records, and legal documentation
  • Conducting recorded statements and interviews with insureds, claimants, and witnesses
  • Establishing appropriate claim reserves
  • Working closely with defense counsel on litigated claims
  • Participating in mediations, settlement conferences, depositions, and other litigation activities as needed
  • Negotiating settlements within authority limits
  • Preparing Reservation of Rights letters, coverage determinations, denial letters, and settlement correspondence
  • Maintaining accurate file documentation and timely client communication
  • Recording billable time and expenses in accordance with client requirements
  • Maintaining required adjuster licenses and continuing education
Requirements

  

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of relevant      education and professional claims experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience handling complex liability insurance claims
  • Experience managing litigated liability claims
  • Strong knowledge of personal and commercial insurance coverage
  • Excellent analytical, investigation, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Current adjuster license or ability to obtain required state licenses
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction Defect claims experience
  • Multi-state claims handling experience
  • Experience working with independent adjusting firms or third-party administrators
  • Multiple active state adjuster licenses
