Impact Summary:

The Parts Research Analyst plays a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency by managing and optimizing the research, ordering and inventory of parts. This position ensures accurate and timely procurement activities, contributing to the smooth execution of project timelines and cost efficiency. By verifying part specifications and conducting thorough risk assessments to account for part availability, lead time, and cost, the analyst upholds quality standards and minimizes supply chain disruptions.


Responsibilities:

· Assist with the management of inventory, including ordering and tracking part orders through all Contractor Support Service methods.

· Research parts information using various sources including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), suppliers, distributers, warehouses, and military systems.

· Conduct parts research to obtain availability, lead time, cost, and submit official quotes into AMODS system.

· Analyze data to determine parts classification, order types, and efficiency in picking and shipping lead times.

· Ensure accurate entry of part numbers into the supply chain management and procurement systems.

· Verify supplier adherence to documented specifications and complete risk assessments prior to order submission.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to procurement processes, project needs, inventory controls, reporting methods, and supply chain best practices that improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and project goals.

· Create and submit comprehensive procurement packages for one or multiple projects.

· Provide timely updates to all stakeholders regarding procurement status, research, quotes, and any potential issues to project personnel and managers.


Competencies:

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data related to parts management.

· Proficiency in using supply chain management and procurement software.

· Familiarity with commercial and military supply systems.

· Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, management, engineers, artisans, and team project members.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.

· Capable of self-tasking, delegating work, and able to de-conflict assigned priorities and urgent tasking.

· Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and compliance in all processes.

Requirements


Qualifications:

· BA/BS degree in a relevant field.

· Minimum of 1 year experience in inventory management, parts research, or a related function. 

· In lieu of a BA/BS degree, 5 years' of progressive experience in similar roles can be considered. 

· Demonstrated knowledge of commercial and military supply systems, including parts identification, sourcing, procurement processes, and inventory management methods.

· Proficiency with supply chain management, procurement, or inventory management systems, with the ability to accurately enter, retrieve, and analyze data.

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and time-sensitive procurement actions while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and tracking procurement activities.

· U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance if necessary.


Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position will be $25-$37.00 per hour based on the successful candidates experience, qualifications, and skill set.
