This is how you will grow:

Serves as the vendor's fully dedicated program manager, owning the detailed program plan, supplier/part tracking, and status reporting that drive on-time delivery of parts through Alpha build and beyond.

• Develop and maintain detailed right-to-left timelines driving on-time part delivery to Material Required Dates (MRD) across COB, HIL, and vehicle builds.

• Coordinate internal and supplier stakeholders to align on program timing from design freeze/sensor position freeze through Alpha COB and vehicle MRDs.

• Map end-to-end supplier lead times, including quoting, negotiation, PO issuance, DFM loops, tooling, manufacturing, first article review, and shipping.

• Define and document Alpha build manufacturing methodology, balancing cost and lead time against build volumes.

• Maintain a master tracker of all custom parts with regular red/green status reporting on design freeze and sourcing risk.

• Coordinate component/subsystem testing requirements and ensure sufficient parts are ordered and delivered to test locations on time.

• Document deviations from production-intent tooling/materials that could affect test outcomes, in collaboration with test owners.

• Interface with the Car on Bench (COB) team on part requirements and negotiate cost/lead-time trade-offs (e.g., 3D-printed vs. cast/molded parts).

• Initiate and track purchase orders for tooling and parts, and track program spend by PO across tooling, materials, and NRE.

• Verify BOM accuracy in the clients PLM against engineering design intent and ensure timely part release.

• Create and maintain supplier-specific shared drive folders; manage RFQs, DFMs, OK2Tool documentation, and post-OK2Tool change tracking.

• Hold regular supplier progress meetings to track development status and unblock issues.

• Coordinate consignment of loose hardware subcomponents to primary suppliers as needed to preserve delivery timelines.

• Coordinate with Google Logistics on import classification for internationally sourced parts.

• Track and coordinate build-phase deviations (DVs) with manufacturing and material management teams.

• Participate in Clear to Build (CTB) meetings, feeding live supplier tracking status to the core build team.

• Ensure a Design Verification Plan (DVP) is built for each subcomponent and publish monthly dashboards on test status.

Requirements

This is how you will take us forward:

• 5+ years of program/project management experience in automotive or complex hardware product development.

• Demonstrated experience managing supplier timelines, tooling lead times, and part procurement for prototype/low-volume vehicle builds.

• Strong proficiency with PLM/BOM systems (Enovia or equivalent) and PO/spend tracking.

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills, including experience producing executive-level status reporting.

• Experience coordinating cross-functional handoffs between commodities (e.g., harness, cleaning systems, structural framing).
