The Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) is an internationally-recognized, multi-service agency and is the largest provider of services to deaf and hard of hearing children and adults in New England We are the largest private employer of deaf individuals in Massachusetts. DESCRIPTION:
This position will provide program support, professional development, and project management for the Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer (CEIO). Participate fully in the direction of the activities of the Equity and Inclusion Office (E&I) and keeps the CEIO advised on the important matters, and their implications related to carrying out the supporting tasks of the E&I’s mission and operations. Plan logistical, administrative and operation support and coordinate annual, high level conferences, workshops, and professional development courses.
SUPERVISOR: Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer- This is a new position for TLC, and the structure may evolve over time.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and use data to identify professional development needs and to evaluate, improve, and report on program effectiveness (including purchasing equipment and supplies, maintaining accurate reports, and submitting and maintaining balanced budgets)
Assist CEIO with developing, coordinating, and overseeing programs in alignment with TLC/E&I’s goals.
Conduct constructive after action reviews to identify and carry out improvements to internal operations, controls, and coordination.
Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of TLC programs, including support and engage in administering professional development for organizations.
Publish monthly E&I newsletter and monthly/weekly announcements for upcoming events to TLC staff and highlighting professional development activities
Formulate, prepare, and revise the cost estimates for conferences, workshops, seminars, roundtables, etc.
Prepare data summaries for inclusion in a variety of E&I reports on budget and other issues.
Exercise timely and accurate tracking of obligations, commitments, and resource issues within the fiscal and budgetary guidance of E&I.
Research and analyze new or changing subjects to develop professional development courses, workshops, seminars, and lunch.
Establish and maintain contact with others in organizations related to equity and inclusion to keep abreast of the latest changes.
Assist in the coordination, and planning of orientation days for new Staff from equity lens
Perform other tasks as assigned by the CEIO
