Finance Assistant
Description

The Finance Assistant Position is responsible for preparation of all financial statements and reporting for the company in conformity with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This position will collaborate and support other departments and bank markets relating to financial matters that may improve their profitability and efficiency.

Requirements


  • Coordinates with others to timely prepare various internal, external, and regulatory financial reports for the holding company and the Bank, including financial statements and filings required by local, state, or federal government entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets based on projected operating costs and the overall asset and liability management plan.
  • Assist with the preparation of the CALL Report 
  • Assist with Preparation of required Annual Tax returns including but not limited to: Tangible Tax Returns; Franchise Tax Returns; Summary of Deposit Report.
  • Assist with the fixed assets schedule and reconciliation accordingly.
  • Assist with the Accounts Payable Process.
  • Complete various reconciliations
  • Ensure  that effective internal controls are in place for compliance with GAAP and all applicable federal and state laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Identifies compliance with financial policies and systems to support corporate strategies and ensure continual compliance and adherence to regulatory guidance.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in seminars and      workshops.

Other/Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred. 
  • Two to five years of accounting experience preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
