Lathrop GPM, one of the nation's leading law firms, has an immediate opening for a Senior Specialist - Legal Talent in our St. Louis, MO or Kansas City, MO locations.  The Senior Legal Talent Specialist is responsible for supporting the attorney and technical specialist/patent agent recruiting at the firm. The senior specialist will assist with supporting all aspects of the attorney recruitment function. In this highly visible role, the Senior Legal Talent Specialist will support all phases of attorney and technical specialist recruiting, partner closely with firm leadership and practice groups, and help ensure an exceptional experience for candidates throughout the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Candidate Applications/Materials

· Oversees maintenance of recruiting ATS database/files for all candidate searches

· Drafts job postings, sends internal approval emails (as required), posts open positions on various job sites, updates firm website, draft proformas, offer letters, and related materials. 

· Sends out LPQs and Due Diligence forms to candidates, as directed, and routes them to PRC for review

· Assists with performing hiring due diligence

· Develops and runs reports, as needed

· Tracks internal referrals for referral fee payment

Search Firm Coordination

· Manages search firm agreement tracking and updates to database regarding search firm agreements

· Assists with scheduling meetings with recruiters

Partner Candidate Interview Process

· Schedules interviews 

· Schedules pre-interview and post-interview discussion meetings

· Coordinates candidate travel and processes expenses for reimbursement

· Maintains candidate feedback and interviewer notes

· Provides information to applicants as needed 

· Prepares follow-up letters and tracks all partner applicant data

Associate and Counsel Candidate Interview Process

· Schedules interviews 

· Schedules pre-interview and post-interview discussion meetings

· Coordinates candidate travel and processes expenses for reimbursement

· Maintains candidate feedback and interviewer notes

· Provides information to applicants as needed 

· Prepares follow-up letters and tracks applicant data

Practice Group Communication

· Assists with compiling and sending status reports to Practice Group Leaders and Directors of Practice Management. 

· Schedules meetings with Practice Group Leaders and Directors of Practice Management

· Research and develop lateral attorney target lists for Practice Group Leader review and approval.

On-boarding

· Coordinates on-boarding process for all hires including new hire orientation schedules, prepare welcome materials for new hires and create arrival checklist

· Directs and oversees Legal Talent Coordinator’s drafting of new hire orientation schedules.

ATS Administration

· Serves as a contact for the ATS system (viRecruit) in the lateral hiring process. Collaborates with vendor and IT staff to resolve system issues. Creates customized reports to drive process improvements. Provides training and ongoing support to team members, ensuring effective system use. 

Requirements

  

· College degree and three plus years of relevant recruiting/human resources experience preferred

· Understanding and experience with data analysis and statistics

· Strong written communications skills

· Ability to work in a highly confidential environment

· Ability to establish priorities and remain flexible

· Proactive, strategic thinker with acute attention to detail

· Must be self-driven and able to work as a team player

· Possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication and phone skills

· Able to maintain a good rapport with various personnel at all levels

· Possess project management skills, sound business judgment and the ability to multi-task

· Must be detailed oriented and a critical thinker

· Proficient in basic computer applications in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
