Job Summary
The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator supports efficient warehouse operations by maintaining inventory accuracy, managing transactions within the company’s inventory management system, and ensuring effective coordination between the warehouse, accounting, and customer service teams. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand how inventory systems connect with warehouse operations and business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system transactions, cycle counts, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Utilize inventory management systems and handheld technology for receiving, product movement, and order fulfillment.
- Understand how inventory transactions interface with accounting systems.
- Partner with bookkeeping and accounts receivable teams to resolve inventory, pricing, and sales order/invoicing issues.
- Assist with improving inventory processes and system accuracy.
- Answer incoming phone calls, assist customers with product inquiries, enter orders, and accurately prepare customer sales tickets while providing professional and responsive customer service.
Qualifications:
- Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn inventory systems and handheld technology.
- Familiarity with accounting system interfaces; experience with Sage preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, pricing issues, and process challenges.
- Knowledge of agricultural products or distribution operations preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to quality work.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Customer service mindset with professional communication skills.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Physical strength, stamina and ability to lift heavy product up to 75 pounds.
- Vision and hand-eye coordination needed to operate heavy machinery.
Salary and Benefits
$26-36/hour. Actual hourly rate may differ based upon location skills and experience.
