Environmental Services Technician - Full Time (Talent Pool)

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment at The Henry Ford Detroit Pistons Performance Center (PPC) and the Little Caesars Arena (LCA) Player Locker Room. This position supports daily facility operations and helps ensure our players, staff, and guests experience a world-class environment.


  

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work under the direction of the EVS Supervisor and EVS Manager to maintain a sanitary environment throughout PPC and LCA Player Locker Room areas
  • Clean and disinfect restroom surfaces including toilets, sinks, mirrors, walls, doors, and floors while restocking supplies such as paper products and soap
  • Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and operate the trash compactor
  • Perform daily cleaning of offices, conference rooms, and administrative spaces following Pistons EVS Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain the PPC practice courts following established cleaning protocols
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of player locker rooms, coaches’ locker rooms, weight rooms, saunas, steam rooms, and other specialty areas
  • Dust mop, sweep, mop, vacuum, and operate auto-scrubbers and other floor cleaning equipment
  • Clean stairwells and elevators including high and low dusting, elevator tracks, and stainless steel polishing
  • Ensure OSHA safety standards and procedures are followed
  • Perform linen laundering operations onsite at PPC
  • Assist with facility conversion tasks including placement of tables, chairs, and court coverings
  •  Support cleaning operations for events held at PPC
  • Promote and represent Detroit Pistons culture and organizational values
Requirements
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Previous experience in custodial, housekeeping, or environmental services preferred but not required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and event schedules
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
