Job Summary:

 Perform cleanliness of all laboratory glassware, maintain good housekeeping practices, order and receive chemicals and reagents. Assist in designing and setting up experiments and other means of analysis. 


Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Clean and appropriately store all laboratory glassware in a timely manner. Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory. Assist the chemists in preparing media and test solution preparations.
  •  Order and receives chemicals and reagent. Label them with date received and expiration date and properly store them.
  • Maintain the laboratories with good housekeeping practices and in compliance with cGMP regarding cleaning and proper storage of laboratory glassware.
  • Performs calibration of balances and pH meters.
  • Responsible for packing and shipping samples out to the external laboratories for required analytical testing.
  • Receive the samples, enter sample information in the sample logbook, assign the AR number, and submit for testing.
  • Store samples in accordance with material requirements.
  • Dispose the waste, including liquid and hazardous waste according to department procedure.
  •  Assist in the stability program, including labeling and placing the samples, pulling the samples from the chamber, and monitoring the stability chambers.
  • Follow all SOPs and Safety Guidelines to ensure compliance with a cGMP environment and Safety Practices.

  •  Any other assignment allocated by Supervisor / Department Head. 

Physical Conditions:

  •  Minimum physical effort required. Ability to occasionally lift/move items weighing up to 20 pounds. 
Requirements


Preferred Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Ability to follow written standard operating procedures and have good documentation practices.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly, listen and gain clarification, respond well to questions, and write clearly and informatively.
  • Ability to work with computers and software applications.
  • Previous laboratory experience is a plus.

Required Experience & Education: 

  • Minimum of 0-3 years’ experience
  • High school diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor’s degree Chemistry in Life Sciences
