Job Title: CNC Operator

Hours: Full-time

Location: El Cajon, CA

Pay Range: $22 - $25 hr

SUMMARY

The CNC Operator plays a crucial role in maximizing productivity and efficiency in the production of large format products. This position requires a commitment to Lean Manufacturing principles, minimizing downtime and maximizing machine uptime. This role demands a collaborative team player with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to perform under pressure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Ensures performance and quality standards are consistently met, contributing to the production of top-quality large format products.
2. Produces and dispatches products on schedule, adhering to deadlines.
3. Organizes,      prepares, and loads printed materials onto the CNC machine, utilizing the      FIFO (First In, First Out) method to optimize workflow.
4. Utilizes      CNC EG-Enroute software to prepare cut files for the production process.
5. Executes the cutting of all large format products, ensuring precision and quality.
6. Aims to achieve expert knowledge of all CNC products, materials, and tools associated with operating the CNC machine.
7. Provides ongoing training to other team members on the operation of the CNC machine and its software, enhancing team capabilities.
8. Under the guidance of the Large Format Manager, executes daily and weekly preventative maintenance and addresses production and shipping needs to maintain continuous operation.
9. Communicates supply needs and maintains inventory levels to ensure production processes are uninterrupted.
10. Adheres to safety procedures and regulations while applying Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency.
11. Acts as Flatbed Printer Operator backup when needed.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• An understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Theory of Constraints (TOC), 6S methodology, and process automation.
• Demonstrated integrity, respect, and trust in all professional endeavors.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
