Description

Position Summary: Hands-on working in the pigment area to perform pigment preparation duties.


Role Description: Operation of Pigment Mixing equipment and scales to mix pigment for Engineered Stone Manufacturing based on product recipe and SOP.


Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on working in the pigment area to perform pigment preparation duties.
  • Blending pigment
  • Quality management: Comparing size and color of chips with sample
  • Tracking and conducting pigment inventory
  • Weighing/bagging pigment for upcoming production needs
  • Assisting on mixing side when necessary
  • Keeping pigment area neat and clean
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have the ability to calculate simple math equations
  • Must have the ability to read a scale
  • Must read and write English

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have a strong attention to detail
  • The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Technical skills as  well as good reasoning ability, communication, interpersonal, and      communications skills are essential. 
  • Prefer at least two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in a quality related capacity.

  • Acetone
  • UPE resin
  • Styrene
  • Silica dust
  • Peroxide
  • Cobalt
  • Silane
  • Powdered pigments
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed with little or no notification.
