Dining Services Director

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

The Dining Services Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the community. As directed by the Executive Director and in accordance with the seasonal menu, this individual is responsible for ensuring that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis. The Dining Services Director is responsible to ensure that the department follows accepted practices in food safety and sanitation. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

? Executes and follows the menu as set out by The Oars Senior Living.

? Ensures all CDSS, Title 22, RCFE regulations for General Food Service Requirements are met.

? Attends staff meetings, dining services committee meetings, QA meetings.

? Attends daily stand-up meetings.

? Attends weekly leadership meetings.

? Maintains budget compliance.

? Arranges for In-Services for the Dining Services Department.

? Completes performance evaluations for dining services team members. 

? Creates and reviews dietary schedules according to community need and in compliance with budgeted hours.

? Completes QA forms and evaluations (sanitation, dining room observation).

? Completes other duties/tasks as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Senior Director of Dining and Nutrition.

? Works with the corporate dietitian to provide quality nutritional services and to maintain the Dining Services Department in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.

? Follows all documentation guidelines set forth by The Oars Senior Living.

? Available to work on occasional weekends and holidays.
