Position Summary

WestCMR is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This role is responsible for general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and supporting audits and special projects. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, collaborative, and committed to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and financial integrity.


Essential Responsibilities

· Prepare and post month-end journal entries and assist with the monthly close process.

· Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

· Analyze financial data and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.

· Assist with audits by preparing requested schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.

· Support the accounting team with process improvements and implementation of new accounting procedures.

· Generate standard, custom, and ad hoc financial reports for management.

· Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and resolve accounting-related issues.

· Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed.

· Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum of two years of accounting experience.

· Experience working within an ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is a plus.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

· Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

· Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
