Pay: $22-$25 per hour based on experience
Anticipated Start Dates: December 15th through December 20th
This start date is weather dependent
Schedule: May require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Conditions: Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, hail, wind, and cold temperatures.
Overview of Position:
The Lift Operations Supervisor supports the Lift Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operation of all lifts and Lift Operations staff, including Lead Lift Operators and Lift Operators. This position is responsible for staffing, training, scheduling, and supervising team members while ensuring safe lift operations and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, coach, and support Lead Lift Operators and Lift Operators.
- Assist with hiring, scheduling, payroll, and employee performance management.
- Ensure all lift operations are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain training records and ensure staff are properly trained on lift operations, safety, and guest service standards.
- Monitor lift operations, ramp conditions, loading areas, and crowd control practices.
- Collaborate with Ski Patrol, Grooming, Snowmaking, and Lift Maintenance to support daily operations.
- Investigate and document lift-related incidents and safety concerns.
- Assist with staffing plans and operational schedules based on guest volume.
- Support the achievement of departmental goals and operational budgets.
- Ensure guests receive a safe, efficient, and welcoming lift experience.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous lift operations experience required; lift maintenance experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful, noisy, crowded, or emergency situations.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with guests and employees.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- CPR/First Aid certification and skiing/snowboarding experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Walk and work safely on uneven, snow- and ice-covered terrain.
- Work outdoors in winter conditions for extended periods.
- Regularly push, pull, stoop, kneel, and reach.
- Ability to sustain adverse weather conditions while actively supervising operations.
