We are seeking a Temporary Service Desk Technician to join our team.
The Temporary Service Desk Technician will use their growing understanding of computer, network, and server operations to assist Capstone’s Service Desk department. This role will gain a variety of experience in a corporate environment where this person can be fully engaged in communication, planning, and projects related to IT and technical issues.
While most of our company functions on a hybrid work model, this role would primarily plan to office out of Eden Prairie, MN. Hybrid remote work may be considered.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Desk Support
- Provide tier 1 Service Desk Support by responding to phone calls, email, and tickets.
- Create, assign, and update tickets in Service Desk ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for users working onsite and remote.
- Update and install software and operating system patches on end user computers (Mac and Windows).
- Configure and deploy hardware to end users.
- Assist in the purchasing process of IT equipment.
- Inventory assets and prepare deprecated systems for recycling.
- Assist in creating and sending business notifications for IT maintenance, new service offerings, and incidents.
- Assist with implementing security initiatives for workstations.
Education, Experience, and Skills desired:
- Junior or Senior in college working toward a degree in business, computer science, information science, or a related field.
- Understanding computer, network, and server operations.
- Knowledge and experience in the Microsoft 365 platform.
- Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
- This position requires someone who is self-motivated, a quick learner, and an excellent problem-solver.
Travel Requirements
This position requires some travel between offices– around 5%.

The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered surrounding compensation including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, work location, and other business and organizational needs. At Capstone, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the base range for this position is $17.00- $20.00/ hourly.
