Part-Time Wash Bay Attendant

Position Summary

The Part-Time Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are cleaned, washed, and presented in excellent condition before delivery to customers or placement on the dealership lot. This position plays an important role in creating a positive customer experience by maintaining the appearance of the dealership's inventory and customer vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and clean the exterior of new, used, and customer vehicles.
• Vacuum interiors and wipe down dashboards, windows, door panels, and other interior surfaces as needed.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and notify management of any damage or issues.
• Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership lot and service area.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the wash bay and detailing area.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist with snow removal, lot cleanup, and other dealership maintenance tasks when needed.
• Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures.
• Provide friendly, professional service while working with customers and fellow employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and dealership vehicles.

Schedule

• Part-time position.
• Approximately 20–29 hours per week.
• Evening and Saturday availability may be required.
