Position Summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced Class A Dedicated Dry Van Driver to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of auto parts and materials using dedicated dry van trailers. This role requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and compliance with all applicable transportation regulations. The Dedicated Dry Van Driver plays a critical role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, equipment care, and operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with dedicated dry van trailers to transport auto parts and materials to designated locations.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers, reporting maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Secure freight properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
  • Load and unload freight safely and efficiently when required while following company procedures.
  • Complete all required paperwork, electronic logs, inspection reports, bills of lading, and delivery documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain regular communication with dispatch, operations personnel, customers, and receiving facilities.
  • Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules while adapting to operational changes as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while representing Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. in a professional manner at all times.
Requirements

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Class A commercial driving experience operating dry van equipment (REQUIRED).
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance requirements, and safe driving practices.
  • Knowledge of freight securement procedures and cargo safety requirements.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to meeting delivery schedules.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the Operations team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to operate the vehicle; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions during loading, unloading, inspections, and deliveries.


Compensation

The Dedicated Dry Van Driver position offers a competitive salary range of $57,200.00 to $70,200.00 per year, based on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, generous paid time off, and life insurance coverage. The final compensation package will be based upon the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and skills, reflecting our commitment to attracting and retaining top transportation professionals.
