Position Summary
PT&P is looking for a Compensation Analyst to build out our comp function and bring more structure to how we pay people. Right now our Director of HR handles all compensation work herself, and it's time to hand that off to someone who can dig into the data, run the numbers, and make sure our pay practices are competitive and fair. You'll partner closely with HR leadership, department managers, and Finance to shape how we approach pay across a 720-person manufacturing organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants ownership over a growing function from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Benchmarking
Conduct market benchmarking using CompAnalyst to evaluate the competitiveness of PT&P's pay structures
Participate in compensation surveys and track industry pay trends relevant to manufacturing
Recommend salary ranges and pay bands based on market data and internal equity
Compensation Administration
Lead annual compensation review cycles, including merit increases and budget planning
Analyze new hire offers to make sure they line up with internal pay ranges and market rates
Support managers and HR leadership with compensation questions and recommendations
Pay Equity & Compliance
Conduct regular pay equity audits to identify and help close any pay gaps
Perform FLSA classification reviews to confirm roles are properly classified as exempt or non-exempt
Stay current on compensation laws and regulations and flag any compliance risks
Data Analysis & Reporting
Calculate and analyze compa-ratios to monitor pay positioning across the organization
Prepare clear, accurate compensation data and reports for leadership presentations
Build and maintain models and tools that make compensation data easier to analyze and understand
Job Architecture & Evaluation
Evaluate jobs and assign appropriate pay grades based on scope, responsibility, and market value
Help maintain a consistent, well-organized job architecture across departments
Partner with HR and department leaders on job description updates tied to compensation changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of compensation analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with compensation survey tools (CompAnalyst preferred)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Solid knowledge of FLSA, pay equity laws, and compensation best practices
- CCP or PHR certification is preferred but not required
- Experience with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred) is a plus
