We are currently seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Terminal Illness Admission Narrative Writer to join our Physician team. The position is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and compliant admission narratives that establish hospice eligibility for patients with terminal illnesses. Our ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, strong collaboration skills when working with our healthcare teams, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Write detailed and accurate admission narratives for patients with terminal illnesses, ensuring clarity and completeness
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to gather relevant patient information and clinical details
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations and institutional policies
- Review and update narratives as needed to reflect ongoing patient status and care plans
- Ensure all documentation meets organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Review patient clinical documentation, including history, diagnoses, and recent clinical notes.
- Write clear, concise, and compliant admission narratives that establish hospice eligibility based on terminal prognosis.
- Collaborate with hospice nurses, intake coordinators, and other team members to clarify clinical details as needed.
- Ensure all narratives meet regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Complete assignments within agreed-upon turnaround times.

- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license.
- Knowledge of terminal illness care, palliative care, or hospice services is preferred
- Strong understanding of Medicare hospice eligibility guidelines and terminal illness prognostication.
- Proven experience in clinical documentation, medical writing, or related fields
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written communication skills with a focus on clarity, empathy, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
