Devon Islamic Finance is the business line that carries this activity across residential and commercial financing.
Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Coordinator is the dedicated marketing resource for Devon Islamic Finance and reports to the Head of Devon Islamic Finance. The position executes the business line’s digital marketing across social media, email, website, paid advertising, and search optimization.
Performance is measured on inquiry volume, cost per qualified inquiry, applications started, and financings closed that are attributable to marketing activity.
The position is remote. Candidates located in Southern California are preferred.
Responsibilities
Business Line Growth
- Own the Devon Islamic Finance marketing calendar and carry it from planning through execution.
- Build campaigns directed at Muslim homebuyers, business owners, community organizations, and referral partners.
- Work with the business line’s originators to convert common customer questions about Shariah compliant financing into published content.
- Support expansion into additional states and metropolitan markets with localized landing pages, advertising, and outreach.
- Track inquiry sources through to closed financings and report on channel performance.
- Propose tests, run them, and report the results with the underlying figures.
Social Media Marketing
- Manage and grow the business line’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Produce content including graphics, video, stories, reels, and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor audience engagement and respond to comments and messages as appropriate.
- Report on reach, engagement, and lead generation, and recommend changes based on the results.
- Track platform changes and digital marketing developments that affect the business line.
Email Marketing
- Create, schedule, and manage email campaigns in Constant Contact and other marketing platforms.
- Develop newsletters, promotional emails, event invitations, and automated communications.
- Report open rates, click through rates, and conversions.
- Maintain list hygiene and audience segmentation.
Digital Advertising
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns on Meta, Google Ads, and other digital platforms.
- Monitor spend against budget and recommend reallocation between channels.
- Support lead generation and marketing funnel development for the business line.
- Maintain marketing analytics and reporting dashboards.
Website and Search Optimization
- Update and maintain website content in WordPress.
- Build and update landing pages, event pages, blog posts, and promotional content.
- Perform search optimization work including keyword research, on page optimization, metadata updates, and content revisions.
- Monitor site performance and user experience.
- Coordinate website work with third party vendors when required.
Events and Community Outreach
- Support planning and promotion of financial education seminars, workshops, webinars, and community outreach in the business line’s markets.
- Build event registration pages, promotional materials, and event communications.
- Assist with event logistics, photography, and follow up marketing.
- Attend selected community events and industry conferences in support of the business line.
Content and Design
- Design flyers, brochures, presentations, signage, and digital advertisements.
- Create and edit photography, video, and graphics for campaigns.
- Maintain brand consistency across every channel and material.
- Route content for compliance review and keep published material consistent with approved product descriptions.
Materials and Inventory
- Track inventory of promotional materials, printed collateral, and event signage.
- Coordinate print and fulfillment vendors and arrange shipment of materials to originators and event sites.
- Keep brand assets, source files, and version histories organized and current.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Two to five years of marketing experience preferred.
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization.
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar systems.
- Experience using WordPress for website updates and content management.
- Working knowledge of search optimization practices and digital marketing analytics.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms including Meta Ads and Google Ads.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a remote role without daily supervision.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the Muslim consumer market, through prior marketing work directed at Muslim consumers, work with Muslim community organizations, or equivalent market experience.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of Islamic finance principles. Product training is provided.
- Experience in mortgage, banking, or another regulated financial services setting.
- Located in Southern California, or able to work Pacific hours with regular overlap with Central time.
Candidate Profile
The position suits a marketer who handles both creative production and performance analysis. The work includes writing copy, building landing pages, setting up ad sets, and reporting on what the resulting figures show.
Candidates should be prepared to discuss marketing campaigns they have personally managed and the measurable results they achieved.
