Brief Description: The HR Generalist, Compensation, Benefits & Payroll is responsible for administering compensation, benefits, payroll, HR systems, compliance reporting, and other key HR functions. This individual will act as the department's technical expert in compensation, benefits administration, payroll oversight, and HR reporting while providing support across broader HR functions, including employee relations and workforce initiatives. This role also supervises the Payroll Administrator.

Reporting to the Sr. HR Manager, the HR Generalist, Compensation, Benefits & Payroll will lead the strategy and execution of our compensation and benefits plans and initiatives, including design, development, and deployment efforts, while evaluating the effectiveness of all employee benefits. This includes compensation banding, variable compensation plans, medical, dental, and vision plans, 401k, and all other ancillary benefits.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee compliance reporting including the EEO1, 5500 filings, Non-Discrimination Testing, and required Federal and State employment reporting
- Oversee payroll administration and HRIS (Paylocity), ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, payroll compliance, tax account management, audits, reconciliations, and resolution of payroll-related issues while supervising the Payroll Administrator.
- Develop and administer compensation strategies, salary benchmarking, bonus and incentive programs, commission structures, and related compensation documentation to support talent attraction, retention, and business objectives.
- Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of benefit and wellness programs, including vendor management, employee communications, billing oversight, and program effectiveness.
- Maintain the Human Resources KPI dashboards, driving business decisions
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law
- Identify best practices, services, and tools in the industry to continually evolve our HR process and produce efficiencies
- Play a role in the due diligence process and comprehensive review of all compensation and benefit plans for new ventures, mergers and acquisitions.
- Manage enrollment and termination in COBRA program in partnership with HRIS vendor
- Review and approve 401k loan requests as well as maintain loan payment processing through the Payroll Administrator
- Manage and distribute electronic HR correspondence, documents, and incoming mail to ensure timely routing and response.
- Provide support across all areas of Human Resources as needed, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, workforce initiatives, and special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with expertise in compensation, benefits, payroll administration, HRIS, and HR operations.
- Experience supervising, leading, or mentoring employees; payroll oversight experience required.
- Experience administering compensation programs, salary benchmarking, payroll, and benefits programs.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, data analysis, and HR metrics/KPI development.
- Experience using Paylocity required.
- Knowledge of benefits, payroll, and employment-related regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA/PPACA.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, organizational integrations, and HR due diligence activities.
- Experience supporting U.S. and UK employees and/or global HR operations.
- Experience with BambooHR.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
