Description

HyerTek is a federal technology consulting firm delivering secure enterprise applications, data analytics, and modernization services to federal government agencies. HyerTek is hiring an HR Generalist – Cleared Talent & People Operations to recruit exceptional professionals for our federal programs and support the core HR needs of our growing workforce.

Recruiting will be the primary focus of this position, with responsibility for sourcing and hiring cleared technical and consulting professionals. You will manage the recruiting lifecycle from workforce planning and candidate sourcing through interviews, offers, and onboarding.


You will also support employee engagement, performance processes, policy administration, employee records, and offboarding. This is a hands-on role for someone who can respond quickly to urgent staffing requirements while creating a consistent and positive employee experience.


Location: Candidate must be located in the Washington, DC, metro region. HyerTek supports flexible work arrangements, but regular in-person availability is required.


Recruiting and Talent Acquisition

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for technical, cybersecurity, cloud, data, AI, program-management, and federal consulting positions.
  • Source candidates with active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, and polygraph clearances through LinkedIn Recruiter, cleared-talent platforms, referrals, events, and direct outreach.
  • Build candidate pipelines for current openings, proposals, contingent hires, and anticipated contract awards.
  • Translate contract requirements, labor categories, and hiring-manager needs into effective job descriptions and screening criteria.
  • Screen candidates for qualifications, federal experience, compensation, availability, location, work authorization, and clearance status.
  • Coordinate clearance verification with HyerTek’s Facility Security Officer.
  • Manage interviews, candidate communication, references, offers, pre-employment requirements, and applicant dispositioning.
  • Support proposal recruiting, resume collection, letters of commitment, contingent offers, and labor-category mapping.
  • Track recruiting activity, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion, and offer acceptance.
  • Maintain a responsive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

People Operations

  • Coordinate onboarding and ensure each new employee is prepared for a successful first day.
  • Maintain accurate applicant and employee records within HyerTek’s recruiting and HR systems.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and workforce-development initiatives.
  • Administer performance-review processes and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Help implement and communicate HR policies and workplace procedures.
  • Respond to routine employee questions and direct complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate company leader or advisor.
  • Coordinate employee status changes and offboarding activities.
  • Identify practical improvements to recruiting, onboarding, and employee-support processes.
  • Protect confidential candidate, employee, compensation, medical, and clearance-related information.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or people operations.
  • Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience, including direct sourcing of difficult-to-fill candidates.
  • At least 2 years of experience recruiting cleared professionals for federal contractors, the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, or other national-security organizations.
  • Working knowledge of Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, polygraph, and clearance-eligibility terminology.
  • Experience recruiting technical professionals in areas such as software development, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, data, AI, and program management.
  • Experience supporting federal proposals, contingent hiring, labor-category requirements, or rapid contract staffing.
  • Experience with onboarding, performance processes, employee records, policy administration, and offboarding.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and federal-contractor HR requirements.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant-tracking systems, cleared-talent platforms, Microsoft 365, and HR information systems.
  • Strong interviewing, communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple urgent priorities with accuracy and consistent follow-through.
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, responsiveness, and professional judgment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS, or a comparable certification preferred.
  • Active security clearance preferred but not required.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000 annually plus bonus, depending on experience and qualifications.
