Role Summary:
Join Harold Beck & Sons as a key contributor to our manufacturing operations, ensuring the accurate movement, storage, and control of inventory materials. The Inventory Planner supports production efficiency by performing kitting activities, maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting and material transactions, assisting with incoming materials, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the stockroom and material handling processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support operational goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform kitting (pulling of parts) for all jobs, parts orders, and sales orders
- Provide assistance with material handling and physical counts of incoming materials
- Perform cycle counts of inventoried items and work in process
- Provide assistance with material handling improvement efforts
- This position will require some interaction with other departments in support of operations
Professional and Personal Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of related stockroom experience in a manufacturing company
- Ability to work independently and as a team to prioritize work assignments
- Ability to make sound judgments with stockroom related issues
- Basic computer skills, some experience with using computer inventory features of an MRP system
- Knowledge and experience with material handling in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience with use of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and fork trucks
- Some experience with cycle counting of physical inventory
- Possess excellent attention and respect for detail
- Possess good oral communication skills
- Predictable and reliable attendance is required
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for a majority of the workday
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. on occasion
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
