Description

Join one of the fastest-growing private lenders in the country and help expand our West Coast platform. As a Sales Development Associate, you'll play a key role in driving business development efforts by engaging prospective borrowers through outbound phone outreach, qualifying interest, and connecting motivated investors with our Sales team. This position is ideal for recent college graduates interested in building a career in sales, real estate, or financial services. You'll work alongside experienced loan originators, gain valuable exposure to real estate investing and private lending, contribute to building a strong sales pipeline, and deliver an exceptional first impression of the company. Successful Sales Development Associates will have the opportunity to advance into Loan Officer or Account Executive roles based on performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound phone calls to prospective borrowers to introduce lending solutions
  • Identify borrower interest, ask qualifying questions, and document key information
  • Schedule and route qualified leads to appropriate Sales team members
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, conversations, and outcomes in CRM tools
  • Follow call scripts and messaging while developing confident, natural communication
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support pipeline growth
  • Meet or exceed daily activity goals related to calls, conversations, and booked appointments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Communications, or a related field preferred 
  • Competitive mindset with a strong desire to succeed and achieve goals 
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to personal and professional growth 
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence speaking on the phone and building rapport 
  • Coachable attitude with a willingness to learn sales fundamentals and apply feedback 
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up and time management skills 
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn CRM and other sales technologies 
  • Interest in sales, business development, real estate, private lending, or financial services 
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to handle rejection professionally 
  • Desire to build a long-term career in sales and real estate finance, with aspirations for advancement into a commissioned Loan Officer role

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, and occasional evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

Work Environment

The majority of the tasks associated with this position will be performed indoors, however, some duties will require the ability to function outdoors with exposure to seasonal weather conditions for short periods of time. Travel is up to 5% of the time.
