Description


Packing Manager is responsible for overseeing the packing operations within a warehouse or production facility. Their primary duties include supervising packing staff, ensuring quality control, managing inventory, and optimizing packing processes to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of goods


Requirements

Key responsibilities may include:

Quality system development and implementation:

  • Develop implement and maintain comprehensive quality management systems specifically tailored to the Extrusion process.
  • Established quality metrics and standards for raw materials in process production and finished goods.
  • Create and document quality control procedures for testing and inspection methods.

Quality control oversights:

  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections throughout the extraction process to identify potential quality issues.
  • Monitors and analyzed quality data identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Performs root cause analysis on nonconforming products to implement corrective action.
  • Ensure products are packed according to quality standards, checking for damages, defects, and discrepancies before shipment.


Supervise Packing Operations:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the packing department, ensuring all products are packed according to established standards.
  • Ensure that the team meets daily packing quotas while maintaining quality control.
  • Implement packing procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize errors or damage during the packing process.
  • Ensure the packing department complies with all safety and environmental regulations.

Team leadership and training:

  • Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians providing training and development opportunities.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of packers and other packing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop team skills to enhance productivity.
  • Assigned tasks and responsibilities to ensure effective quality control throughout the production line. Set priorities based on production or order fulfillment needs.


Production collaboration:

  • Works closely with production personnel to identify and address quality issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize the extrusion process and equipment for improved quality.
  • Work with other departments, such as shipping and receiving and production, to streamline operations
