About the Opportunity 

We are looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Internal Sales Agent to help prospective and current clients understand their insurance options, select appropriate coverage, and feel confident throughout the enrollment and renewal process. This in-office role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys consultative sales, accurate follow-through, and building long-term client relationships. 

The ideal candidate is comfortable learning complex insurance products, explaining coverage in clear everyday language, and following established processes in a compliance-focused environment. Insurance experience is helpful, but we are also open to a driven candidate who is willing to obtain the required Health & Life license within 60 days of DOH. 


Compensation & Onboarding Support 

This non-exempt position offers a base salary of $45,000 to $60,000, with 10% sales commissions. Base comp is dependent on sales experience and insurance license status.  Additional commission and incentive opportunities may apply based on revenue goals and eligibility requirements.

Requirements

 What You Will Do 

  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall agency growth. 
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with prospective clients, current clients, carriers, and local business partners. 
  • Contact prospective and current clients about health and life insurance products and policy options. 
  • Explain coverages, policy details, and plan differences in a clear and client-friendly way. 
  • Guide clients in selecting coverage that best fits their needs and eligibility. 
  • Recommend appropriate modifications or updates to existing policies when a client’s needs change. 
  • Build customized insurance packages and complete policy enrollments and renewals. 
  • Follow established sales, documentation, CRM, CMS, and HIPAA processes accurately and consistently. 
  • Maintain timely and accurate notes for all client and prospect interactions in the BIA CRM. 
  • Attend assigned trainings and stay current on insurance products, carrier requirements, and compliance expectations. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

What We Are Looking For 

  • A proven track record in sales or a strong desire to learn and excel in a sales role. 
  • Active Health & Life insurance license preferred. 
  • Ability to obtain a Health & Life insurance license within two months of hire required. 
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain insurance information clearly and professionally. 
  • Comfort working with detailed documents, accurate data entry, and confidential information. 
  • Ability to follow established processes and maintain compliance with CMS and HIPAA requirements. 
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe, Outlook, and CRM systems. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and spoken English. 
  • Basic math skills. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred. 
  • Must pass credit check, drug screen, and background check for the role.
