The Material Control Inventory Coordinator is responsible for organizing, cataloging, and redistributing rejected products. This role also includes processing rejected material into pellets for reuse in production, operating and maintaining pelletizing equipment to maximize production efficiency, and ensuring the equipment is functioning optimally. Additional responsibilities include building, staging, and loading scrap material for truck shipments while maintaining accurate inventory in Cyframe ERP system, MS Excel and supporting efficient material flow throughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Organize, identify and properly label rejected materials. Develop a thorough understanding of the Used Compound labeling system to accurately identify and classify materials.
2. Assist the Pelletizer Operator as needed to provide break relief and operational coverage.
3. Label pellet bags with accurate weights and Used Compound codes and provide a daily production reports including qualifies produced and operating times to the manager.
4.Maintain accurate inventory records for all used compound materials within Cyframe ERP system through routine inventory management and updates.
5. Maintain a clean, organized and safe material control and pellet storage area, by sweeping loose pellets, utilizing storage racks effectively, and keeping materials properly organized.
6. Evaluate scrap materials and determine whether they should be designated for resale or recycling.
7. Coordinate the loading, pickup and shipment of scrap trucks and dumpsters, documenting shipment information in Microsoft Excel.
8. Conduct weekly inventories of Used Compound and pellet materials, maintain accurate inventory records and promptly report significant inventory discrepancies to management.
9. Review the production schedule to anticipate material requirements and ensure production lines are supplies with the appropriate Used Compounds.
10. Performance inventory stock adjustments and transfer Used Compound inventory between part number within the Cyframe ERP system based on inventory counts.
11. Process the transfer of sold scrap materials to the appropriate part numbers within the Cyframe ERP system.
12. Prepare truck loads by building bases, creating load plans, and ensuring shipments are properly staged.
13. Operate the baler to process recyclable materials safely and efficiently.
14. Package materials and load trucks for shipment while ensuring materials are secured and shipment-ready.
Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook required.
Basic math skills and the ability to accurately take measurements.
Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
Skills/Aptitude: Forklift certification preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a non-temporary controlled manufacturing facility.
Must be able to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 55 pounds.
Occasional overtime.
Day Shift: Monday thru Friday
