Primary Functions

Under the direction of the Sr Human Resources Manager, this position is the key driver for employees - managing all stages of recruiting, assisting in daily HR functions in accordance with company policies and procedures; completing all necessary paperwork to a high level of confidentiality, accuracy and to appropriate measured guidelines. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruiting for hourly positions in manufacturing and other areas as needed
  • Perform orientations and onboarding with a positive attitude toward company goals
  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Maintain OSHA training records, coordinate and video tape monthly OSHA training sessions, video tape and verify all employees receive required training 
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
  • Assist in preparation of weekly payroll processing, and prepare payroll checks for distribution
  • Create benefit packages, assist with open enrollment and monthly employee enrollment
  • Process and maintain employee attendance records and time off requests
  • Data entry of information into Excel spreadsheets, ADP and other software systems, with a high level of accuracy
  • Filing, answering HR related phone calls and other clerical duties as assigned
  • Maintain a positive presence with employees, remaining visible and available to employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements
  • Two (2) plus years HR recruiting experience, non-union manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of wage and hour laws and labor laws
  • Ability to work at all levels within the organization, from the production floor to senior management
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • Ability to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • HRIS experience beneficial, Paylocity and Plex preferred
  • Payroll processing experience beneficial, but will train
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
