The Safety Manager is a full-time role that is responsible for supporting the Director of Safety in leading all safety aspects at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari with a focus on keeping both Guests and employees safe. The Safety Manager will work closely with all departments to promote safety, while also providing a proactive approach to safety by identifying needs, developing programs, and implementing new initiatives. This position will manage the first aid facility and its staff, working closely with the Human Resources Department to hire, train, schedule, and lead Seasonal EMTs.

Work Requirements
- Assist the Director of Safety with organization and administrative tasks for the Safety and First Aid departments, including the administration of Safety Procedures
- Interview, hire, train, and supervise seasonal First Aid Staff
- Review and update OSHA compliance training programs on an annual or as-needed basis
- Prepare and complete OSHA forms and logs as required
- Manage the record keeping process for safety investigations, patient care reports, inspection records, SDS forms and PPE equipment
- Lead the park-wide effort of preparing for insurance inspections and the annual fire marshal inspection. Coordinate follow-up and remediation efforts if necessary
- Produce and install safety and informational stickers, signs, and decals. Install safety devices on machinery and structures
- Seek and pursue opportunities in every department to increase safety and improve operations by identifying and minimizing risk
- Coordinate employee and guest accident investigations to determine causes and recommend preventive measures
- Inspect buildings, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting on a regular basis and complete work orders as needed
- Responsible for administering and tracking the Hepatitis protection program
- Report general liability claims to the insurance company and act as the company liaison with the carrier. Coordinate safety programs with insurance company representatives
- Consistently look for ways to improve safety, safety training, and processes promoting safety. Participate on the team for developing the park’s accessibility program
- This is a full-time position and regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work during the summer operating season.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Occupational Safety & Health or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years successful theme park management experience is preferred.
- Completion of accredited OSHA compliance training for the private sector or willingness to pursue.
- CPR Certified or willingness to pursue.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of employees and management
- Willingness to travel overnight to attend and participate in seminars, meetings, and conferences out of town
- Ability to work full-time
- Ability to work at heights of up to 150 feet.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
