Description
Provides primary nursing care to include management of occupational illness/injuries. Participates in the documentation of any incident to ensure proper treatment and disposition of the patient. This includes initial intake, assessment, monitoring and follow through for all processes based on state and government requirements. The nurse will also provide counseling, to include health and work related health topics.
DUITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients, according to the nursing skills inventory and the age and needs of patient/population served within the scope of licensure.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team while making clinical decisions in the delivery of patient care.
- Adheres to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards. Performs other duties as assigned, within the scope of practice and clinical competency.
- Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company’s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
- Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies and procedures
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company
- Responsible for completing all assigned training
- Ability to work within a dynamic team environment
- Excellent skills in both written and verbal communication
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing for either Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associates Degree of Nursing (ADN)
- 5-10 years experience in occupational nursing or ambulatory care clinic
Licenses or Certification:
Required:
- Current State of Texas license/permit or temporary/compact license to practice as a LVN or RN
- BLS – Basic Life Support
Desired:
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
