Multi Dwelling Account Executive
Germantown, Tennessee
Job Type
Full-time
Description

Are you a relationship-driven professional who enjoys identifying growth opportunities, negotiating agreements, and helping expand access to high-speed fiber internet? Do you thrive on building partnerships, managing complex projects, and working with property owners, developers, and community stakeholders?

Socket Fiber is looking for an MDU Account Executive to support the growth and expansion of our fiber network through strategic partnerships and property access agreements. This role plays a critical part in expanding service to multi-dwelling units (MDUs), apartment communities, manufactured home parks, and other residential and commercial developments.

In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying new development opportunities, negotiating building access and entrance agreements, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure projects move from concept to completion. You'll work closely with property owners, developers, brokers, municipalities, and utility partners to support Socket's growth objectives.

As a key member of the Business Development team, you'll help shape how Socket Fiber expands service throughout existing and emerging markets.

A Day in the Life

Your day may begin by researching new development opportunities, reviewing project timelines, and coordinating with internal teams regarding upcoming expansion projects. From there, you may meet with property owners, developers, or municipal representatives to discuss building access agreements and potential fiber deployments.

You might negotiate a new building access agreement for an apartment community, collaborate with engineering and construction teams on an expansion project, or review contract requirements and renewal schedules. Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, staying organized, and finding creative solutions that support both customer needs and Socket's long-term growth goals.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and develop opportunities within multi-dwelling units (MDUs), residential developments, and commercial properties.
  • Negotiate building access agreements, licenses, easements, and related contracts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for property access and development-related initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Business Development teams on expansion projects.
  • Track agreements, project milestones, and contract renewals.
  • Research market trends, access requirements, and competitive opportunities.
  • Assist in delivering projects on time and within budget expectations.
  • Build relationships with property owners, developers, brokers, municipalities, utility companies, and other stakeholders.

What Will Help You Stand Out

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience negotiating contracts, access agreements, or real estate-related agreements.
  • Background in telecommunications, outside plant, fiber construction, or network expansion projects.
  • Experience working with developers, property managers, municipalities, or utility providers.
  • Knowledge of construction, permitting, or infrastructure development processes.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience interpreting maps, blueprints, or construction plans.
