Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who desires to join a growing organization and has an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.

This incumbent will be a hands-on shift supervisor responsible for assisting the site’s lead and his team with end-to-end supply, quality, fabrication, and technical performance for all industrial gas turbine components. Additionally, the incumbent will assist with continuous, efficient training for all current and future shop operations staff.

 

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Incumbent will be responsible for conducting daily, weekly, and/or monthly shift operational briefs. (Shift Change, Stand-downs, etc.)
  • Lead a team of hourly associates in the safe execution of assigned quality repairs and delivery, including Thermal Spay Coating, HVOF, plasma, and Vacuum furnace.
  • Ensure all shift employees follow and perform all repairs in accordance with technical specifications, work instructions, and documented processes.
  • Proactively assist employees with all shifts’ problem-solving and quality concerns to find a resolution and assist with EHS, ISO 9001, and OSHA compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate labor management and time & attendance reports are completed daily. 
  • Escalate and collaborate with the department manager on all employee issues or concerns. 
  •  Collaborate with day shift supervisors and provide detailed status updates on completed work and/or any anticipated work needed. 
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly process, equipment, and maintenance checklists are executed and completed by all shift employees. 
  • Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all PPE initiatives and site safety protocols.
  • Perform other associated departmental duties assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years in mechanical maintenance with 5 years specifically on gas turbines
  • Deep understanding of gas turbine systems, components, and OEM maintenance practices. (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.) 
  • Proficient in interpreting technical manuals, job routers, and work instructions.
  • Skilled in using CMMS platforms. 
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, mentoring, coaching, and communication skills. 
  • High level of safety awareness and emergency response understanding.


Salary Description
79k yr - 97k yr (DOE) + Annual Bonus
