This position will report into and operate within ValuationNEXUS, a dedicated subsidiary of CV3 Holdings.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The VP, Chief Appraiser oversees review operations for the Valuations division, as well as the company’s real estate analytics initiatives. This role enhances appraisal quality and ensures compliance oversight across ValuationNexus, the company’s proprietary AMC. As the senior-most authority on valuation policy and regulatory compliance for business-purpose lending, the Chief Appraiser plays a pivotal role in strategic planning, goal setting, and the implementation of best practices while upholding the company’s core values.


In this position you will: 

  • Act as the designated Chief Appraiser for ValuationNEXUS.
  • Develop and enforce appraisal review policies, escalation protocols, and independence safeguards.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with USPAP, FIRREA, Interagency Guidelines, and AMC regulations.
  • Lead quality control for residential and small commercial business-purpose portfolios.
  • Manage reconsideration of value and dispute resolution processes.
  • Provide internal training on quality standards, risk mitigation, and regulatory updates.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams during audits and investigations.
  • Lead strategic planning and process development for the Valuations departments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across Valuations.
  • Develop and implement regulatory and compliance frameworks, collaborating closely with the Compliance team and the Managing Director.
  • Oversee Valuations leadership in developing and adhering to new policies and procedures.
  • Lead the enhancement of ValuationNEXUS product and technology suite.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring compliance in all active jurisdictions.
  • Manage personnel decisions including hiring, training, performance management, and terminations within Valuations
  • Participate in valuation committee meetings to support enterprise risk mitigation.
  • Oversee vendor management processes related to Valuation operations.
  • Partner with CV3 Financials’ sales organization and deal desk on all things valuations
  • Partner with post-funding Valuation Analyst on transactional diligence and portfolio valuation
  • This position may involve handling confidential and sensitive information as part of its daily responsibilities. Employees are expected to exercise discretion and protect all sensitive data, including but not limited to personal information, loan details, business and financial records, and proprietary materials.


Requirements

Successful candidates will possess:  

  •  Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred or equivalent experience.
  •  10+ years of real estate valuation experience; 5+ years in appraisal leadership or Chief Appraiser roles.
  •  Preferred experience in BOTH Appraisal Management and Lending Organizations
  •  Certified Residential Appraiser License required; Certified General preferred; multi-state licensing required.
  •  Project management certification is a plus.
  •  Prior experience with short sales/REOs.
  •  SRA designation or equivalent is a plus.
  •  Proficient in Microsoft 365
  •  Knowledge of title insurance is advantageous.
  •  Knowledge of the full loan lifecycle strongly recommended, including loan sales, servicing, and asset management
