Description
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, licensed providers, Nursing Manager, and Behavioral Health leadership, the Medical Assistant (MA) provides clinical and administrative support to the Integrated Care and Recovery Program. The MA assists with patient care, medication management, care coordination, behavioral health screening, telehealth support, and clinic operations to promote high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring behavioral health disorders as well as medical patients
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One year of clinical experience preferred; experience in primary care, behavioral health, or addiction medicine is desirable.
- Experience using electronic health records and telehealth platforms preferred.
