In-Place Machining Company (IPM) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist – Accountant I to play a key role in our financial operations. In this role, you'll work closely with operations, project teams, and leadership to support billing for large-scale industrial projects across North America. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction, project success, and the financial health of the business.
What You'll Do
- Process weekly and monthly billing for large-scale projects and miscellaneous customer charges
- Review vendor invoices and supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy
- Analyze labor reporting and project data to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Review employee expense reports for accuracy and inclusion in customer billings
- Generate invoices and maintain accurate project billing records
- Reconcile billing information and support month-end accounting activities
- Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and accounting personnel to support project execution
- Research and resolve billing-related issues in a timely manner
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting and billing functions
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus
Preferred Experience
- Experience with project-based billing in industrial services, manufacturing, engineering, construction, or related environments
- Knowledge of invoicing, job costing, and project accounting principles
- Experience reviewing labor, expense, and vendor-related billing documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, billing, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred
- Understanding of billing and invoicing processes, preferably within project-based environments
