Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Department by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the facility. This role ensures offices, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces are clean, stocked, and well-maintained while helping provide a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Follow the daily cleaning schedule and priorities assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Communicate with the Maintenance Manager regarding daily tasks, supply needs, and any issues that arise.
  • Complete daily cleaning checklists for restrooms, the cafeteria, and office areas.
  • Replenish restroom, breakroom, and other facility supplies as needed.
  • Clean coffee pots, countertops, prepare coffee, and restock coffee supplies when needed.
  • Collect and dispose of trash throughout the facility.
  • Clean offices and common areas, including windows, picture frames, air vents, doors, and other assigned areas according to the cleaning schedule.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the use of caution signs and proper cleaning practices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Work cooperatively with team members and other departments throughout the company.
  • Participate in required team meetings.
  • Provide coverage for other team members as needed to support business operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years of related housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, push, pull, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and safely perform all essential job functions.
