To achieve that goal, we're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Project Engineer who thrives on coordination, communication, and execution while supporting multiple development projects across our growing portfolio.
YOUR MISSION
Support Brewtopia's Development Team by coordinating the critical project activities that move new stands from development through construction and turnover by ensuring:
- Utilities are coordinated and activated on schedule.
- Equipment and signage arrive on time.
- Project documentation is organized and accurate.
- Development reporting remains current.
- Sites are fully prepared for successful construction and opening.
Success in this role comes from anticipating project needs, maintaining strong communication, and keeping every moving piece aligned.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate utility applications and service installations, including electric, water, sewer, gas, and telecommunications providers.
- Manage utility follow-up activities to ensure timely approvals, scheduling, and activation before stand openings.
- Coordinate franchise utility account setup and assist with service transfers as needed.
- Manage signage coordination, vendor communication, approvals, and installation scheduling.
- Coordinate equipment ordering, tracking, delivery scheduling, and installation timelines to support project readiness.
- Coordinate Builder's Risk insurance documentation and project-specific insurance requirements.
- Maintain ownership of the Development Tracker, ensuring project information, milestones, and reporting remain accurate and up to date.
- Support Development Project Managers by monitoring project schedules, identifying upcoming milestones, and proactively communicating project status.
- Coordinate with Development Project Managers, Construction, Operations, vendors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure each project is ready for construction and opening.
- Assist with project closeout documentation, turnover packages, warranty information, and final project records.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure documentation complies with internal standards and approval processes.
- Identify potential scheduling or coordination issues early and escalate concerns to the Development Project Manager for resolution.
- Provide regular project updates and reporting to support development planning and executive visibility.
Project Load
- Support multiple active development projects across Michigan and New York.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in construction, engineering, development coordination, project management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with consultants, municipalities, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Experience coordinating utilities, permitting, equipment procurement, or construction projects is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and project management software such as Smartsheet, Procore, Monday.com, or Microsoft Project.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to identify issues proactively and follow projects through completion.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in quick-service restaurant (QSR), retail, franchise, or multi-site development.
- Familiarity with utility coordination, permitting processes, or construction administration.
- CAPM, PMP, or other project management certifications are a plus.
