Orthodontic Lab Technician – 3D Printing & Clear Aligner Fabrication
Location: Meyer & Dana Orthodontics
Schedule: Full-time | Daytime hours
Experience: Dental or lab experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Orthodontic Lab Technician to join our in-house lab team! This role plays a critical part in creating high-quality clear aligners and orthodontic appliances using digital workflows and 3D printing technology. What You’ll Do
- Operate and maintain 3D printers for orthodontic models and appliances
- Fabricate clear aligners including model trimming, thermoforming, cutting, and finishing
- Prepare digital cases for printing and aligner production
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, fit, and consistency
- Label, organize, and package aligners for delivery to clinical teams
- Maintain lab equipment, materials, and inventory
- Follow established lab protocols, safety guidelines, and timelines
- Collaborate closely with doctors and clinical teams to meet patient needs
- Help in the clinical area with sterilization and other needs of office

- Previous experience in a dental or orthodontic lab is a plus (but not required)
- Willingness to learn 3D printing systems and aligner fabrication processes

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional dental or lab coursework is a plus but not required
- Previous experience in a dental lab or dental office preferred
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small tools and materials
- Self-motivated, high-energy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, efficient, and productive work environment
